Schick’s signature razor, the “Injector,” a single-edged, continuous-release blade, was modeled by retired U.S. Army Colonel Jacob Schick in 1921.

The model created at this time was a single-blade version of the traditional double-edged razor, and also allowed for the replacement of old replacement blades with a continuous blade, marking the advent of the revolutionary safety razor.
