HISTORY
A loaded type razor invented by one soldier
SCHICK INJECTOR
In 1921, Jacob Schick, a retired U.S. Army colonel, invented a single-edged razor with a functional loaded blade replacement system.
The “Schick Injector,” which arrived in Japan in 1960 with the liberalization of Japanese imports, became a hit product thanks to its innovative mechanism.
Even after entering the era of stainless steel blades, the company continued to produce razors with superior design and function one after another. The company manufactures razor blades used by barbers and is recognized by professionals.
Become Japan’s No. 1 domestic market share brand
After the war, Kinzo Takeuchi, the cornerstone of the Razor Club, encountered the “Injector,” a razor made by Ever Sharp in the United States. He felt that “This razor is wonderful! It is suitable for Japanese people with hard beards.” He began importing and selling the razors in Japan before trade liberalization (1960).
This was the beginning of Schick product sales in Japan.
